The project I chose to tackle was the PIR Motion Sensor. After searching through MULTIPLE projects, I felt this would be easy enough yet challenging enough for a beginner like myself. I also thought it would be intriguing enough to use in my house, as my dog likes to jump on the counter, and after researching what this can do, maybe a noise detection might help top him from jumping up!
The items needed for this project besides the Raspberry Pi were all purchased on Amazon and are:
PIR Motion Sensor
Raspberry PI
3 female to female cables
Audio Speaker
I used mainly this tutorial on the set up of the project, as it was simple enough for me to follow.
Although for many people this project might seem simple, but as a complete beginner to this world, this has still been extremely challenging for me. I initially purchased the wrong materials, so being careful on the correct purchase of the PIR is important, as the correct one needed will have the three outputs of a ground, an output and a VCC.
