Introduction.
An Alexa Pi is using your raspberry pi to work as an Amazon echo dot. An Amazon echo dot is currently on sale from $18-159 dollars (Due to black Friday) As many know, Alexa is voice-powered and can do many things. Like, Play music, Read stories, set reminders and answer questions. I decided to build an Alexa pi because I already have an echo dot and wanted to make my own, using my raspberry pi. After completing this project it was very exciting and a great learning experience.

What does it do?
My raspberry pi can work just like an Amazon echo. I speak into the speaker just like Alexa and it will respond. It can answer questions using the Alexa voice and I also have it set up to my wifi so Alexa pi can retrieve the request I’m asking.
On/off switch, Power cord, Speaker, USB Microphone and Keyboard and mouse. In the middle is my raspberry pi.
Final product.
In the end I really enjoyed putting this project together. In the beginning I didn’t think I would be capable to put something like this together nor did I ever think of doing something like this. I would recommend this project for beginners and anybody who wants to know how an amazon echo works from the inside out. I also like how you don’t need to buy much because most of the parts come from the kit and can rented from Delta.
