I am writing this blog about my RetroPie Project that I am doing for my Computer class in school. I choose to do the RetroPie project because I love old video games and this was a chance to try something completely new.
If you’ve ever wanted a gaming system on the go but didn’t want to bring all of your different systems with you, then the RetroPie is the perfect thing for you. With a RetroPie you can download tons of games and play them almost anywhere and one of the best parts is that its small and easy to take with you anywhere.
What you will need to make one yourself:
- Raspberry Pi 3
- MicroSD card
- HDMI Cable
- Flash Drive
- Game controller
- Keyboard
- Mouse
- TV or Computer
In conclusion, this project was fairly easy once I got the hang of it. I have never done anything like this before and it was really fun. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to try something new or just for fun. Right now I have Super Mario World because it was my favorite as a kid. Later I think I might download more games, but for now I will stick with this and try to remind myself how to play it.
