Introduction: When picking my idea for this project I wasn’t sure what I was going to pick, I had a few ideas but the only one that really caught my eye was the Raspberry Pi Alexa. The goal for this project is to build a AVS sample app and run it on your Raspberry Pi.
Supplies: For this project I will only need 8 supplies in total. Luckly I already have all of these supplies, so nothing came out of pocket for me, so that is nice. First, you will need internet connection, computer, keyboard and mouse, HDMI Monitor, Micro SD card, speaker, microphone, and a Raspberry Pi. You will also need to download the software Raspbian Buster to operate.
Discussion: Doing this project will allow me to use Alexa Voice Service Device SDK on a Raspberry Pi using script. The link is right here to set up and register a AVS device with the Amazon developer portal. Set Up the AVS Device SDK on Raspberry Pi with a Script | Alexa Voice Service (amazon.com). I will also be using this link to install AVS Device SDK dependencies on my Raspberry Pi and Build the AVS sample app and run it on my Raspberry Pi.
Conclusion: When being introduced to this project I was very nervous about, since I’ve never been really good at technology projects and sorts. But I do think it’s neat that we are able to do so many different projects using the Raspberry Pi. I am pretty excited to see the end result of this project and being able to see everything run smoothly using the Raspberry Pi.
