Introduction: Picking the RetroPie project is definitely for the people who like there video games. A quick overview of this project is turning your raspberry pi into a retro-gaming machine. Lots of the games you can play from your raspberry pi are arcade like games and some PC classic games.
Supply List: Most importantly you’ll need a raspberry pi for your retropie project. I got a kit with my raspberry pi and with said kit I got a SD card and an HDMI cord. In addition to this you’ll need a USB flash drive, USB gaming controller, and you need to make sure you have a USB power supply unit. Other than the raspberry pi its quite essential to have a computer to run your retropie on. These are the essential supplies you will need but there’s many other optional supplies you may get for your project. Project Discussion: As I already mentioned earlier that raspberry pi’s can be used for so many different ideas to light shows or to security cameras. The possibilities are almost endless. The retropie project I chose is for the gamers who like there classic games that could be played on early game consoles. Using retropie you can play games like Tetris, Pac-man, and many more old-school games.
Conclusion: For anyone thinking about doing this project its a fun one to do. For someone like me who isn’t the best with technology it was hard but I had a few friends who knew how to use them that helped me out along the way. I have been a video game player for a long time when I have nothing else to do so learning how to do this was quite interesting.
