The purpose of this project was to learn about Raspberry Pi and programming. There was a few components I needed for this project. First thing I did was watched a tutorial video on the subject of Retro Pie. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1sbnPZ_A8w&t=62s). Next I checked out a Raspberry Pi kit from the library at school. I also went and purchased a controller and SD card. I had a tv monitor and keyboard already. I followed the tutorial videos on youtube to program the SD and USB stick. Now it was time to let the programs run and play some games. I had a few problems trying to get the Retropie to work. I eventually went out and bought a new USB stick and that did the trick. Me and my wife played so many games we had missed from our childhood. Even my kids had fun playing Super Mario Bros and Tetris.
This was an awesome project, I love classic video games so this was a perfect project for me. I will definitely purchase a Raspberry Pi for the family for Christmas and do many more projects with it in the future.
