The project I chose to do with my Raspberry Pi is the RetroPie. The purpose of a RetroPie is to be able to play classic games including arcade and PC games.

The physical components I used in my project are as follows: Raspberry Pi, flash-drive, gaming controller, micro SD card, SD card reader and an HDMI cord. I used one video source that guided me through the setup of my Raspberry Pi and I used the instructions on the RetroPie website to guide me through the setup also.

My project is a game system emulator that allows the user to play retro games including Nintendo’s Mario Kart, and Play Stations Crash Bandicoot. As long as I found safe Roms to download there was an extremely large selection of games to put onto the RetroPie. This project was extremely fun and allowed me to play games that I haven’t been able to play in years and some that I always wanted to try. overall, I learned a lot about computers and this project was very fun to do and made me feel nostalgic for the games of the past.
