John Paul’s Raspberry Pi Project
For my project, I Installed Raspbian and built our classroom in Minecraft. I followed the steps along the video to install raspbian below and pretty much got to work right away. I had a hard time at the beginning of the semester getting started but once I talked to you in class and got the software I needed, I went home and started downloading that night. I played around with it a little but it wasn’t until a week after until I watched a video of all you can do on Raspbian til I knew what I wanted to spend my time on. I got to work that night and documented my progress on our classroom.
After I took a little too long of a break I logged back on and started working some more and eventually decided to add the library on the right of our classroom.
Over break I finished the classroom.

When reflecting on the project, I still love to think how cool it is that the raspberry pi is so small. At the beginning of the semester, I had 0 idea of what I would be working with or doing especially when I heard about the raspberry pi. Once I was all set up with the borrowed raspberry pi & software needed I had a pretty smooth time getting raspbian installed and had fun building our classroom in something I could fit into my hand, I enjoyed every time hooking up the cables to something so small.
The initial setup and configuration for me was quite the process. I started a little late on the project and If I had to do anything different next time, I would start earlier and would have maybe had time to make a whole minecraft world. The testing process was the easy part because for me, it was a blast to the past because I got to play Minecraft which I used to absolutely love doing. I’m happy I got to work with a game I love and learned a few things about software & setups.
Lastly as I was finishing up the project, I had to make a little sign for class!
