My name is Rob Medina and I came into this class never hearing of a Raspberry Pi or knowing of what it is or how it works. Being that im not a person who is advanced in computers, I seen the project description and was worried about how I would pull this off.

With help from Mrs. Ryan and asking others in class for ideas I was able to get a better understanding of what was going on and how to work my way around the programs that I was using. The BelenaEtcher and 7-zip were the most confusing part of the assignment for me, I really didn’t understand the coding and that’s where I needed the most help.

How ever the hardware part of the assignment was easy for me due to the fact that I did not have to have any extra expenses all I needed was ..

  • Raspberry Pi computer
  • Power adapter
  • 2 sub plug ins
  • auxiliary cords
  • 1 sd card
  • And I used my wired Xbox 1 Controller

I was able to get the intend and super Nintendo programs on my raspberry pie and downloaded 7 games including a few of my favorites like Mike Tyson Punch Out, Contra, and of course Mario Bros.

Resources I used for this project were..

  • Mrs. Ryan
  • Classmates

  • https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/First-Installation

This was a very tough Project for me but fun at the same time. It frustrated me in many ways but it pushed me and made me realize that even if i’m not great at everything, I am willing to give things a shot and get the job done which is needed to be successful in the business world.
